Motion Unlimited Museum
The Museum is open from May through October 9AM-6 PM (Monday through Friday) 9AM- 4 PM (Saturday)

Welcome to Motion Unlimited Museum. We invite you to visit us when you come to The Black Hills of South Dakota, which has some of the best motorcycle riding roads in the United States! Remember we are only 35 miles from Sturgis, just South of Rapid City on Highway 79 South.

When you enter our Museum, the first building you may wish to explore is our Antique Motorcycle building. Many is the time we've heard a visitor say, This is so beautiful and clean, it takes your breath away.!!!! We have over 100 motorcycles on display.

Immediately, you will notice this building is very tastefully covered from floor to ceiling, and wall to wall with antique motorcycle memorabilia, beautiful wall murals, gas pumps, and gas station memorabilia, tools and much more. If you look above the motorcycles you will see dozens of pedal vehicles displayed on a shelf that wraps itself all the way around the room. You will see the pink Pedal Jeep. Remember Connie Stevens, and Cookie from the 60's TV series 77 Sunset Strip? Well this is a replica of her Jeep, it even has the pink and white fringed top. You'll also see an X-15 Jet Fighter pedal jet, that you steer with the hand controls, a pedal scooter, a boat and much more. (Make sure you check out the Toys and Pedal Car page to see and learn more!)

Back to the tour. You will more than likely turn right down the row of Harley Davidson big twins and Harley 3 wheelers. Some have been customized and some have been painstakingly restored. You will enjoy stopping to check out the meticulously restored 1947 Harley Knucklehead, with the original leather saddlebags. Next to it you see the red JD Board Racer. The huge 8 foot by 16 foot Texaco mural is located on the wall behind these bikes. This mural depicts life at your local Texaco gas station in the 1930's, it is impressive! The artist is Anthony Napoli, who is an avid Texaco collector and artist.

Before you continue, you'll want to check out the 1966 Harley Davidson Shovelhead with the sidecar, it even has a TV in the sidecar! As you stroll down the walkway, you will turn left and begin your walk past the antique Harleys, and Indians parked in front of the old store fronts. You'll have to spend some time looking at all the signs, memorabilia and information about the motorcycles that will make you want to run out to your car or bike for more film.

One of the most talked about motorcycles in our Museum is the brand new 1946 Harley 45 cubic inch Military Motorcycle just taken out of the crate. You'll be amazed when you see the Unlimited Coach, and of course you'll want to take a picture of the World Famous Webley Vickers, (The Only One Known To Exist!) Plus you'll see the Indian Chief police motorcycle with the very large male mannequin standing behind it dressed in an official police uniform. You will also see the other beautiful Indian Chiefs and a 1949 Indian Scout Motorcycle.

You'll meander around the corner to the British Bikes, including one of the first 3 cylinder Triumph Tridents, a 65 Bonneville, BSA Spitfire, AJS, plus many others that are all very nicely restored and displayed for your enjoyment. You might relive the memories of your first motorcycle. We also have a factory built, 1963 Yamaha roadrace bike that has its' own story as to how we acquired it. All of our motorcycles are very nicely restored, original, or customized and are kept meticulously clean. We guarantee you will want to spend sometime here, as there is so much to look at. We have worked very hard to bring you one of the premier motorcycle displays in the Midwest. We hope you'll stop in and visit us! Don't forget to bring your camera! It will be worth it!
